Update.

We started our day with a delicious breakfast on the porch, yummy crepes with strawberries and bananas. We made a chart and realized that with a chicken, a cow, and a field of wheat, you could make crepes everyday. That's all you need.

The birds were kinda wild, a bit unfocused, and we know the only cure for that...We packed up and hiked over to Linwood park. On the way we discovered some snapdragons growing in the sidewalk, and I showed them how to make the flowers roar.

We have a fort down in the woods, behind the tennis courts, that we have been working on. The kids love to play there, and I think Papa Mike does, too. All it takes is a little freedom and time in nature, and everyone finds their place of peace and joy. The kids played different games in the trees, climbing and hiding, and delivering messages from forest fairies and to the forest king. We hiked a few different trails, and then headed up top to play in "our forest", a gathering of trees in the field. We climbed, played, wandered, and just lived. We picked a box full of dandelions and clovers to bring home for Margot and Ida (the dandelions are pretty picked over here at home!), and Papa Mike showed us cotton from a tree.

Breakfast: whole wheat crepes, strawberries, bananas, honey, milk
Snack: crackers and water
Lunch: fettucine noodles with mushrooms, white kidney beans, fresh basil, fresh rosemary, garlic, olive oil, and parm. Vanilla whole milk yogurt with sliced banana and graham cracker for dessert.
