Update.

Today we walked to Linwood park to play. We brought buckets, baskets, ropes, yarn, twine, and pulleys. We had a wonderful time setting up our pulleys and making things work. We spent a lot of time filling our buckets with pine cones and "bananas" from the trees. We did some climbing and chasing, too. We sat on our blanket and read, Children of the Forest and ate rhubarb cake that Wren's grandma dropped off this morning. Before we walked home we played a wolf game. All the children pretended to be a hungry pack of wolves, and Papa Mike was a hopping bunny. The wolves chased the bunny, howling and howling the whole time. We had a fantastic morning.

Breakfast: crepes with butter, cinnamon, and sugar, milk
Snack: cheese, rhubarb cake, water
Lunch: kale, beet greens, collard greens, green onion, garlic, sea salt sauteed in olive oil, roasted cauliflower, vegetable gyoza, cherry yogurt

The birds ate ALL their food at lunch! Even the greens! It took some encouragement and convincing, but once they tried it, I think they liked it! Plus they all wanted yogurt for dessert...
