Wool.

Wool is my favorite. It is a magic material that I love creating and playing with, and so do the kids. We have always done wet felting with them (using wool with warm and soapy water to create felted material) but lately we have practiced other techniques, like wrapping wool, free form sculpting with wool, and even needle-felting. Mainly we have been making spring birds (to go along with a recent bird watching obsession happening here) to hang on a branch in our living room.
