Pumpkin Pie

We made pumpkin pie today...The birds grated cinnamon and ginger (which we called a "troll's hand"), and ground up clove, to put in our pie. More thankful lists and thankful singing, and a Thanksgiving feast!

Butter Birds

Made some butter with the kiddos today.

In the words of Melania, " You just take some milk, put it in a jar, shake it for HOURS, and then...it's butter!"

It is heavy cream, not milk, but otherwise that's pretty much how it goes...

Overheard....

Cooper: "Wren, do you love me now?"

Wren: "Yes, Cooper. I love ALL my children."

Thankful for pasta.

Today we made our own pasta noodles and tomato sauce. And, while we were making the real noodles(the ones we ate for lunch) the kids made pretend noodles with homemade play dough. Before lunch we made a list of things we are thankful for, lit a friendship candle, and we sang a song about being thankful.
